For this ball, I thrifted a long black velvet dress for £7.99. It was a size 14 and I altered it to be shorter, fit me better and lower the neckline by a lot. I broke an old bracelet I had and attached it to the dress with small gold eyelets to keep the front of the dress from exposing too much.
