July & August double drop: The XL Picnic Blanket and Ruffle Apron
July & August double drop: The XL Picnic Blanket and Ruffle Apron
When I wrote last month that 2024 was the year of the picnic bitch I wasn’t kidding.
Here are my qualms with picnic blankets: they are often too small to fit snacks, games, bags AND allow everyone who wants to sit ON of the blanket (without needing to pull out their jackets to sit on and pretend they’re totally cool with laying their new coat on the dirt). SO!! I thought I absolutely need a BIG picnic blanket so I can have picnics and fit all of my friends.
You may be asking yourselves, Noemie, why the ruffles on the edge? What purpose do they have? And to this I say, they have no purpose other than to look pretty. As my friends tell me, sometimes that is enough. I have been adding ruffles to almost every garment I made this year and this was no exception. This picnic blanket doubles as a table cloth which drapes all the way to the ground. If you like a little less drama (and hate doing laundry) then you can fold the table cloth in half for a more “normal” length.
Speaking of unnecessary ruffles, have you ever thought to yourself “hmmm this apron is great but I wish it had more ruffles?” Well I am here to answer your prayers. May I introduce to you the second part of this drop: The Gingham Apron of your dreams. With two pockets in the front to keep your secrets safe, it’s the perfect apron to cook, host and dress up in (I know some of you are looking at this for your sexy halloween costumes and I’m here for it). If you buy the two items together you get a little discount to thank you for your purchase.
I hope you love these two romantic products as much as I do. I hope you host lovely dinners and picnics.
As this is a double drop, my next drop will be in September but worry not, I’ve got some big plans (yes it includes bows how did you guess???)
They fabrics come in pink, navy, green and red but if you desire these pieces in another color, please feel free to get in touch, there is nothing I love more than trotting around London fabric shops looking for the perfect gingham fabric for you.
The picnic blanket is approximately 93” by 93”
Both items are made from a polyester gingham, pre-washed at 30 degrees.
