My First Funding!

IMG_2666.jpg

A few weeks ago I received my first funding for Noé Dresses!

I attended a pitch event hosted by Enterprise Week where students had the opportunity to pitch for funding to start a business. I had known about this event from the year before because a member of my group from the Enterprise and Creativity module I was taking had pitched to get funding for a project we were working on. Getting funding for Noé had been something that was on my mind for a while ever since I attended fashion school. While I was there, I came to understand the importance of certain tools and machines that I didn’t have. So, I pitched for the growth of Noé and received £1000 in funding! It's so wonderful receiving money and knowing that it’ll help grow my businesses but more importantly, I am so so happy to know that there are professionals and people out there that believe in me and see potential in Noé.

With the funding, I plan on buying an industrial sewing machine, a pattern making/fabric cutting table and other tools and materials.

A huge thank you to Bonnie Hacking who has been guiding me through my business, Juno who took the time out of his busy schedule to give me advice on the funding and everyone else who’s helped me prepare for my pitch.

I’m incredibly excited to see where this takes me and to take on bigger and bolder projects!

In the meantime, enjoy a photo of me happily spray painting my sheep costume.

Much love,

Noemie
